What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a hands on, evidence informed therapy that uses very thin, sterile, single use needles to stimulate specific points on the body. Is acupuncture safe?
Acupuncture is safe when performed by a licensed professional using sterile, single use needles. We also screen for red flags and refer out when appropriate.
Does Glacier Blue Acupuncture accept insurance?
Glacier Blue Acupuncture is in-network with the VA. If you qualify for VA benefits, please contact your PCP at the VA, and request an acupuncture referral.
Glacier Blue Acupuncture is out-of-network with most insurance plans. Many patients are still able to use insurance if their plan offers out-of-network acupuncture benefits.
When you schedule an initial acupuncture consultation, we can do a complementary insurance verification and go over what benefits you may have.
We also accept FSA and HSA debit cards—acupuncture is an approved use of these funds, and we can process payment the same way we would a credit card.
Does Glacier Blue Acupuncture accept Medicare?
We are out-of-network with Medicare. Most Medicare plans will only cover chronic low back pain that you have been living with for over 12 weeks. Some of the Medicare supplemental plans will reimburse you for your acupuncture treatments. We will be happy to work with you and create the proper invoices for you to submit directly to your Medicare provider for reimbursement.
